Democracy is type of a political government where majority of the people rules or governs a certain country or territory. Typically political parties run for elections and whoever gets the most number of votes, governs the country. Equality and freedom are most widely accepted characteristics of democracy.

Pakistan came into being as a sovereign democratic state in 1947, even at that time governing level authorities were given to feudal lords and other influential people than a man that purely represents the nation. Pakistan is not the only country in the world which is hijacked by a group of elitists, if one looks around honestly it will find that today's so called democracy driven countries are just a recipe to enslave people in their vicinity. The 21st century aspect of this slavery is that its you who choose to work for a specific elite of a country (if only you can win your freedom from your current elite).

So the current Pakistani Government (PPP) and many of the past governments which included PML-N and PPP were and still sadly are a mix of Monarchy and Autocracy. Monarchy in a sense that ruling of political party will always be in their family(zardari family, sharif family) and autocracy because they are controlled by a single individual(zardari, sharif), Pakistani governments and political parties (most of them are but not limited to: PPP. PML-N, PML-Q) are by no means democratic.

Democracy means people vote for their representatives and then the elected representatives form government. But is it really what it say it is? Lets see the world's most democracy chanting government does when its their time for democracy...
